Our updated FACS I curriculum features a new student-friendly, full-color design. The teacher edition is done in a wrap-around format. A resource CD (HE 8001) includes printable versions of all consumable pages, written tests in Word® and ExamView® format, PowerPoint® presentations for each unit, crossword puzzles, MAX Teaching activities, teaching timelines, and more. A color wheel is also included with each teacher and student edition.The curriculum is aligned to Family and Consumer Sciences National Standards and can also be used to meet Oklahoma's Passport to Financial Literacy Standards when used with our FACS II curriculum.

Structural Engineering TLA

This update of our Structural Engineering TLA expands on the existing bridge-building activity to include online design, construction, and testing. The TLA is distributed on CD, with full-color pages to be printed or duplicated as needed, and additional resources are available online. Activities and quizzes are included in Microsoft Word format for customization.
Student activities stress the importance of accurate measurement, and include practice using both the metric and US systems. Students learn what causes collapses and other structural disasters. Other lessons include the different types of bridges, building materials, and trusses. The students design, build, and test a bridge using either real materials and/or online. Other types of building opportunities are included.

Multimedia TLA

The Multimedia TLA introduces students to the various areas multimedia, including digital imaging and photography, video production, desktop publishing, PowerPoint presentations, and making computer and video games. The materials are in full color and are presented on a CD to be duplicated or printed as needed. Activities and reviews/quizzes are included on the CD in Microsoft Word format to allow for customization.
Multimedia covers the following pathways in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology and Communications cluster:
